Lifeflow and Sleep
Sleep. Everyone needs it to survive and many people consistently feel like they aren’t getting enough of it. Is there any way to get more of it? Or get better sleep? Of course there is. In fact, Lifeflow, and meditation as a whole, are now known to have a large impact on the quality of sleep that people have and regular practice can enhance almost every aspect of your life. First, however, you should understand the link that happens between the practice of meditation and your quality of sleep a little more deeply.
Where Do Sleep Problems Come From?
Sleep problems are one of the most common issues that people face in the modern, busy world. They lay awake and night, unable to sleep, and feeling like they are the only person in the world who is awake at that ungodly hour. A lot of different
things can contribute to this lack of sleep. This can be psychological problems, but it can also be things that are happening on a physiological level. Overall, however, worrying and stress are the primary cause for the vast majority of those who suffer
from insomnia. This is where research has focused on meditation and the Lifeflow program.
The Meditation and Sleep Connection
Lifeflow and sleep, but also standard meditation, has been found to have a profound impact on the quality of sleep that people experience. A study from the Medical Centre in Stanford performed a study with 30 different people who experienced sleep issues. They took a course in mindfulness meditation and practiced it for six weeks under the careful eye of the doctors. At the conclusion of the study it was found that over half of those who participated where falling asleep almost twice as fast when measured. These results were maintained and were found to still be present a year after the study was done.
A similar study was conducted by the University of Massachusetts Medical School and they found similar results. They found a much larger sample size, hough, and asked 102 insomniacs to participate. Of those who participated in the study, the same 60% reported a drastically reduced time falling asleep. The important thing that this study looked at is that 91 percent of the people who were using medication to fall asleep before were now using a reduced dosage or had stopped taking it completely. The same amount of people said that they still had results a year after the study concluded.
Lifeflow and Sleep
Lifeflow meditation has a very similar purpose as the traditional mindfulness meditation that was used during the study and the Delta Waves especially are helpful for this purpose. The problem lies in the stress that many people face in the modern era. When you have more stress, you have more to think about before falling asleep, making it less likely that you will ever actually fall asleep.
The tones that are used as a part of the tracks cause your body to release chemicals that reduce stress hormone responses and train your brain to function in a way that is more appropriate for everyday life and especially more appropriate for falling asleep. Beta Brainwaves are most commonly found in people who are highly focused, but also in people who experience a lot of anxiety. Meditation naturally takes you into lower brainwave levels, but Lifeflow features brainwaves as low as the Delta level in tracks 1, 2, and 3, along with Nirvana and Awaken. Higher levels can reduce anxiety, but for the purpose of sleep it will be necessary to have the slower waves that Delta provides.

Can You Listen To Lifeflow While You Sleep?
Lifeflow can even be listened to while you are asleep, in addition to while you fall asleep. This is only true for the lower levels that use the Delta Brainwaves, however. These are the same waves that are naturally produced during the deep stages of sleep, making them helpful if you are attempting to fall asleep and stay asleep. By continually providing your mind with these helpful waves you will be making sure that it is trained to use them when you are attempting to sleep, something it might not normally do if it is acting in higher frequencies that have been associated with anxiety and stress.
What Does All Of This Mean?
What does it mean for you? In short, meditation appears to have been proven in several studies to enhance the quality of sleep and reduce the time it takes for people to fall asleep. Lifeflow is an easy way to assist yourself in learning how to meditate, but it also stands to reason that the Delta Brainwave technology that is used will also help you stay asleep if you listen to it while at rest. Research is ongoing as to the extent of the help it provides, but the anecdotal evidence along
with the two studies performed so far are promising.
